PALIO DI CASTELFRANCO VENETO (XIV edition - September 2010)
Also this year the Town will renovate the usual appointment with the "Palio" of Castelfranco Veneto, that will take place on the 1st and 2nd week-end in September.
September 3-4-5th will be dedicated mainly to the "Antico Gioco del Pallone" Tournament on the gardens facing the ancient walls and to the opening of the taverns inside the old castle.
On September 10-11-12th there will be again the opening of the taverns and the ancient medieval fair with shows and events and on Sunday the Historical Parade and the game Castel d'Amore in Giorgione Square.

LIVING CHESS GAME in MAROSTICA (September 2010)
The famous Living Chess Game will be hosted also this year in the main Piazza Castello in Marostica (VI).
As tradition wants the Games will be shown on the 2nd weekend of September (September 10-11-12th).

"GIORGIONE" EXIBITION CLOSED ON APRIL 11TH, 2010 WITH GREAT SUCCESS
500 years after the death of the great painter Giorgione, his native town Castelfranco Veneto has dedicated to him a great exibition between 12th December 2009 and 11th April 2010 with a great success of critique and visitors (almost 140.000).
The mayor national and international museums contributed giving a large numbers of paintings: from The State Hermitage Museum in San Petersbourg, from Uffizi Museum in Florence, from Accademia Galleries in Venice, from Pinacoteca Ambrosiana in Milan, from Louvre in Paris, from National Gallery in London and many others.
Other events will take place in town to celebrate Giorgione before the end of 2010.
THE MUSEUM "GIORGIONE HOUSE" OPENS
Castelfranco Veneto starts the celebrations to the 5th centenary of Giorgione death opening the new Museum "Giorgione House" on May 9th, 2009. In the house that hosted Giorgione works, the visitors are guided in discovering the two main masterpieces visible in town: the Altarpiece (Pala) and the Frieze of Castelfranco.
GIORGIONE ALTARPIECE IS BACK
On December 8th, 2006 the town has celebrated the return of the famous ALTARPIECE ("Madonna in throne with the Child and saints Francesco e Nicasio"), main work by the painter GIORGIONE and real symbol of the town. The painting missed since February 2002 and after an accurate restauration has been repositioned inside the Costanzo Chapel, inside the Duomo, transformed in a real "Technological case" that can guarantee a perfect conservation of the opera.

"ART IN HOTEL"
All the public spaces at the Hotel became perfect places to host the exibition of the artist RENATO ZANON. The masterpieces exposed goes from paintings on the main public to the bronze sculptures and painted ceramics on the Lobby. The various pieces are continuosly changed and can be bought by anyone interested.
