Hotel alla Torre resides in an ancient and prestigious building conveniently renovated at the end of the 1980s. The birth of this building dates back to the medieval period. At that time, it was considered a real fortress. Later it became a nobleman’s building, presided over by great figures, such as the Alabardi-Piacentini family.
In 1546 the area where the building sits was ceded to Bernardo da Bergamo, from the Alabardi family, by the Republic of Venice. With this “freedom to build and erect a factory” against the walls. The house, “with an artisanal shop, on two floors,” adjoining “the walls and the ditches,” at the south side of the Clock Tower, as can be observed in the sketches of the 1600s.
At a later date, the building was raised and expanded, giving it its current shape and structure. Today Hotel alla Torre resides within this historic building, integrating itself harmoniously into the old town centre.The hotel is managed by the brothers Valentina and Paolo Zanon with their collaborators. Valentina, after important studies in the tourism sector and great experience, enters the management of the family hotel, providing a certain added value. History, passion and hospitality are what make the Hotel alla Torre unique.
